A US convoy was attacked nigeria on Tuesday killed 4 individuals, together with two US consulate officers and two policemen, and kidnapped three others, in line with native police and US authorities.
The assault came about in southeastern Anambra state, and the Anambra Police Command informed CNN that the attackers “murdered two law enforcement officials and two US consulate officers and set their our bodies and autos on fireplace.”
The personnel who died weren’t US residents, in line with the White Home and native police. “No Americans have been concerned and due to this fact no Americans have been injured,” stated John Kirby of the US Nationwide Safety Council. “We’re conscious of some casualties, perhaps even some lifeless.”
When the assailants noticed the safety forces “they fled with two law enforcement officials and a driver of the second car within the convoy,” stated Ikenga Tochukwu, deputy superintendent of police. “No US residents have been within the convoy,” he added.
Police stated joint safety forces have “initiated a rescue and restoration operation within the space”.
A State Division spokesman stated Tuesday that “employees from the Nigeria Mission are working with Nigerian safety companies to research.”
They continued: “The security of our employees is all the time paramount, and we take nice precautions when arranging discipline journeys,” they continued.
